ATV & UTV Operation Inside City Limits

Effective 05/20/2024, City ordinance was updated to state that ATVs & UTVs can be operated on all city streets, excluding those in the City Parks. They can also be operated at the City Recycling Center located on 4th Avenue.  County Roads are also open to ATV/UTV traffic up until city limits ends. Chapman Park Campground

On the shores of Chapman Lake, the City of Stanley operates a modern campground:

28 Sites -- all within steps of the lake - RVs and Campers of all sizes, plus tents are welcome!

  • Season : Campground opens May 1st (water may not be available until later in the month, depending on weather)
    • Campground closes October 31
  • 32 Sites with Electrical Hookups  (30 amp)
  • 1 Modern Shower House and Flush Toilets
  • 1 Sanitary Dump Station (free to paid campers of Chapman & Otter Campgrounds) $10.00 fee for others.
  • Sites 3, 4, 7, and 8 are tent only sites.

FEES:

  • $35 per night
  • $175 per week
  • $300 for two weeks
  • $500 per month

*Two weeks or more must provide availability for mowing.

NEW FOR 2025!! - Reservations can be made by calling City Hall Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Self-service pay station will be installed at the park before May 1 opening.

Campground official visits twice daily to collect fees and sell firewood ($5.00 per wheelbarrow load).

Note: Chapman Park currently does not have Horse Camping facilities available.

City ordinance requires that all dogs and pets must be on a leash at all times.
